THE INSTITUTE exists to theologically, creatively and spiritually deepen the worship life of the local church community.
We resource the worship leader and creative artist, as well as those who direct and participate in the gathered worship experience, through roundtable educational forums.
THE INSTITUTE Of Contemporary And Emerging Worship Studies (St. Stephen, New Brunswick, Canada) is an innovative and long-term university initiative aimed at developing contemporary worship leaders and artists to think well about the past, present and future. Drawing on the strengths of artists, theologians, authors, cultural communicators and church leaders, the Institute is building a family of thoughtful, passionate, devoted and creative leaders committed to influencing both the Church and culture of generations to come.
DAN WILT, M.MIN. is the Founder and Director of THE INSTITUTE Of Contemporary & Emerging Worship Studies at St. Stephen’s University, and is an internationally respected worship leader, conference speaker, songwriter, author and innovator. He has also been the Director of Vineyard Worship Resources, which creates media-based training tools for the contemporary and emerging Church, and is a freelance resource developer for Vertical Music and Vineyard Music.
He is the host of the acclaimed training DVDs, Leading Worship, and Songwriting For Worship, designed to equip worship leaders in worldview/theology, basic worship leading skills and essential songwriting principles.
Dan’s passion is to further the Kingdom plot in this generation. Linking the wisdom of the ancients with the present chapter of the Story we live out today, his passion is to expand the worship worldview of the existing and emerging Church – inviting engagement with God and culture on all creative levels.
Dan, his wife Anita, and their three children, Anna, Abigail and Benjamin make their home in St. Stephen, New Brunswick.
